Three submissions, three nominations! The teams from Gissler & Pass were delighted with this 100% success rate at the POPAI Award 2023. Once again this year, the Shop! D-A-CH e.V. conducted the competition purely digitally with short videos about the exhibits.
Havana Club Influencer-Box
Havana Club launched its first limited edition in the ready-to-drink line of products. The rum brand works with German artist and rapper Capo for the roll-out of the ‘Havana Club X Capo’ limited-edition can.
Gissler & Pass has come up with an eccentric, poker-style slipcase giftbox for the product roll-out. The idea of arranging a poker hand (10 cards) from the card deck that comes with the box ‘as if on one hand’ gives the box a groovy wow effect when unpacked.
The boxes are handed out by Pernod Ricard Germany to specific influencers, young target audiences, and well-known social media figures who promote these new products across all channels. Since the high-quality box was only distributed to an exclusive target group, it was created using high-quality digital printing.
Monster Kontra-K Promotion
Rapper Kontra K is a prominent advertiser of energy drink brand Monster Energy. Monster Energy held an exclusive summer raffle to get out tickets for one of his concerts, promoting the campaign with a large-scale POS display incorporating a monumental arch, a large-scale cardboard figure, and ¼-Chep displays.
The arch’s visual power is rounded off by its clever function as product carrier, with the Monster cans being placed directly in the columns and the 3D boxes creating the proper gig atmosphere.
Highlight: standing an impressive 2 meters in height and 2.30 meters in width, the arch is designed so cleverly that it can be folded to just 80 cm across when packaged.
Zentis NaturRein Display
For the launch of the new premium brand NaturRein from Zentis, a novel and very differentiating display was desired that would attract maximum attention at the POS.
Due to a higher and yet very stable base construction, the new fruit spread is presented at eye level, the eye falls directly on the goods and easy access to the products is ensured. In order to achieve a simple construction of the display, the elements are largely only plugged in.
The overall presentation reflects the premium character of the new fruit spreads. The curved side panel picks up the contour of the jar, provides additional communication space and lends the design additional lightness and uniqueness. The innovative product design is ideally staged.
On 15 February 2023, the meeting of the independent panellists from brand, trade, design and science took place to evaluate the more than 40 entries from 15 categories.

At the awards ceremony in June 2023, Gissler & Pass and its clients will find out whether the POS staging will be awarded gold, silver or bronze.
