The commitment to sustainability of Gissler & Pass, specialist in the corrugated cardboard and packaging industry, has been awarded the silver medal by EcoVadis, the world’s biggest provider of sustainability ratings.
This means that the family-run company based in Jülich is among the best 25 % of all the rated companies, having received 64 out of 100 achievable points. In an industry comparison, among rated manufacturers of packaging supplies made of corrugated cardboard, paper and cardboard, Gissler & Pass is even in the top 10 percent.
For the rating, EcoVadis examines the management processes in the four areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. This independent evaluation of Corporate Social Responsibility activities confirms to all stakeholders of Gissler & Pass that we act responsibly towards the environment, climate and society.
“We are very pleased that our commitment in the field of sustainability, conserving resources and the raw-material cycle has been visibly acknowledged,” said Thomas Gissler-Weber, Managing Director of Gissler & Pass. “At the same time, this distinction will spur us on to continue to press ahead with our sustainability projects and to accelerate the development of new processes, systems and products, in order to be able to offer our customers sustainable solutions.”
The recently introduced energy management software, to increase our own energy and resource efficiency and lower CO2 emissions, is just one example of consistent commitment to responsible action.
