As experts have discovered, one fifth of the plastic blister packs, foam pads, shrink films, etc. used can be replaced – by environmentally compatible solutions made of corrugated board. The Lebensmittel Zeitung has reported on this in detail.
Last year, Forum Ökologisch Verpacken commissioned a study from the Gesellschaft für Verpackungsmarktforschung (GVM), Mainz, Germany, to determine how much plastic packaging could be replaced by corrugated board.
