Ausbildung bei Gissler & Pass

Packaging mechanics m/f
Profession, areas of work and job description:

Packaging mechanics male/female generally are qualified to work in the production and development of all kinds of packaging machine sectors because of their specialised training. Their areas of work are extremely varied and can i.e. be in the development, quality control, work preparation, sales and production sectors.

Job chances and further training:

Because of the nature of their training, packaging mechanics have a profession with proper qualifications, which enables them to work as specialists in many areas of the packaging industry. This profession offers further training to obtain a master packaging mechanic qualification or allows a paper technician study course at a technician school. Having achieved the college entrance qualification level, students can then go on to study at a trade college, which ends with an engineering diploma in the packaging machine sector.

Educational requirements:

Normal “O” level qualifications after 10th year of schooling, or trade school entrance qualifications of various kinds).

Training course duration:

3 years

Vocational training school:

The Düren area vocational training school Bongardstr.15, Jülich

Training details:

In order to meet the vocational training demands, students receive instruction in the following subjects:
A basic course in metal work, details of corrugated board production and manufacture (the setting up of machines, operation and monitoring), the development of packaging and the creation of hand-made models.

Final examination:

To be carried out at the Chamber of Commerce in Aachen.

Application:

Before 30. November for the following training year.
Training begins on 1st August.

An application must include training requirements, curriculum vitae, copies of certificates and a passport-size picture.

Media Technologist Printing m/f
Profession, areas of work and job description:

Because of the nature of their vocational training, media technologists printing are suitable for employment in printing shops, print preparations, quality control and technical work preparation.

Job chances and further training:

Broad-based vocational training provides male and female media technologists printing with professional qualifications that enables them to work as specialists in various sectors of the printing and packaging industry. He or she can later obtain a master printer qualification or obtain a technician qualification by attending a technician school. Having achieved a trade college entrance qualification, they can then go on to study a variety of subjects at a trade college.

Educational requirements:

Normal “O” level qualifications after 10th year of schooling, or trade school entrance qualifications of various kinds.

Training course duration:

3 years

Vocational training school:

Berufskolleg für Gestaltung und Technik, Neukölner Str. 15, Aachen

Training details:

In order to meet the vocational training demands, students receive instruction in the following subjects:
Safety, health and environmental protection: setting up, operating and monitoring printing machines, the preparation of printing inks and printing. Training is carried out using modern offset printing machines.

Final examination:

To be carried out at the Chamber of Commerce in Aachen.

Application:

Before 30. November for the following training year.
Training begins on lst August.

Industrial/commercial training m/f
Profession, areas of work and job description:

Qualified industrial/commercial trainees can find employment as office staff in all areas of a company.

Job opportunities and further training:

Qualified industrial/commercial office staff are able to take part in further training in the economic field or even go on to study at a higher place of learning.

Educational requirements:

A commercial school certificate or “A” level entrance exam qualifications.

Training course duration:

3 years, which can be reduced to 2,5 years if trainee has already achieved certain scholastic qualifications.

Training details:

In order to meet the vocational training demands, students receive instruction in the following subjects: Commercial aspects of material, production, staff management, turnover and accounting.

Final examination:

To be carried out at the Chamber of Commerce in Aachen.

Training begins on lst August.
